Joseph is a follower of Jesus Christ, a born again Christian and a family man. Married to Catherine Ngetich and is blessed with Three (3) Children – Ethan Tesei 11years old, Lizel Bitei 8 years old, and Elaine Neutat who is 21/2years. A member of Africa Gospel Church (AGC) Good Shepherd Church, Ngong Road. Currently serving as the Men’s Ministry Leader.
‘I seek to promote and engender good leadership and governance ideals that secure sustainable development and to contribute to the institutional growth and societal transformation’. As such I aspire to be a catalyst for the Church and the wider Faith Sector, mobilising for Faith Action in the Socio-Economic, Governance and Political Landscape of Kenya.
Joseph has over 20 years of experience leading programmes including Faith-based and led (designs, execution, review, monitoring, and Learning) and increasing portfolio funds. Joseph drives organizational change, leadership development, capacity strengthening programming across the governance and peace-building spaces including working with the Faith Sector. Across the various roles and positions, Joseph has spearheaded partnerships, networks, and managed various key stakeholders.
Currently, Joseph works with Tetra Tech International Development Ltd as the Senior Regional Lead of REINVENT Programme, providing overall strategic and programmatic leadership in the design, coordination, implementation, and administration of the programme. Previously Joseph worked with the National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK) for 7 years, first as the South Rift Regional Coordinator and later as the Governance Lead. Joseph Served with the Fellowship of Christian unions (FOCUS) Kenya for 10 years at different roles – first as a Short-Term Ministry staff, missions and as a director of students’ ministry until 2010. He is credited for conceptual formulation of Student Leadership Summit.
Joseph has a Masters degree, Organizational Leadership from Pan Africa Christian (PAC) University and Bachelor of Education (Science) from Egerton university. He has undertaken short courses in Governance, peace studies and project management.
Joseph Joins the board of Hesabika Trust and brings key competencies and experiences in Management and oversight of complex programming; Developing partnership and managing stakeholders; Insights in the development of sustainable leadership and organizational change.
