Adjusting to a new environment is always a challenge, but thanks to the training I received at Kenya School of Government. I have been able to adjust to the life of a State Officer/Public Servant.
Through my work, I am appreciating that the brainchild of the 2010 Kenya Constitution, the devolution system of government, is the best direction for Kenya. I have also identified various challenges in devolution such as achieving equal distribution of resources, coordination between the National Government and 47 County Government Units and mismanagement of resources.
I look forward to continuing learning and contributing to my department through continuous research.
