Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (KEPHIS), Ministry of Agriculture

I am based in Kitale working under the quality assurance department dealing with inspection and issuance of plant imports permits, seed field inspections, farm audits, inspection, and issuance of phytosanitary certificates, basically, the body ensures the quality of plant materials before it gets into the market.

This opportunity is providing me with a well-rounded skill set such as working under minimal supervision. I have learnt to value honesty, diligence, excellence, integrity, communication skills, record keeping, Organizational leadership, critical thinking, problem solving skills, interpersonal skills among others. I am looking forward to advancing my knowledge more and in getting opportunities for my growth in the remaining months.
